a step

so where to begin ...

i suppose at the beginning ...

a step that has been years in the making

one that God has been leading us to for awhile now.

it began as whispers when we first got married

though it had actually began in both of us years before

it quieted for awhile 

while He began to bless us with our beautiful babies

but it began again two years ago

it has been growing

the visions, the dreams, the wanting

and now it is here

it is time

time to trust Him in a way that is total and complete

to know that He has been leading us here 

and that we are simply to follow

that He is leading us to Africa

to His precious abandoned, orphaned, forgotten children

to be His hands and feet

and to love them with His love

and so we begin our walk that will lead us to Africa

to our new home

to our new position

to our new children

to our new life

and we take one step ....
